Smoky Quartz w/ Hyalite Opal (small)

Stunning Smoky Quartz crystals with some Hyalite Opal growth on them. While you usually need a shortwave UV light to get reactions out of Hyalite, some of these specimens like these from the Erongo Mountains are content with just daylight. The green fluorescence you’re seeing is from trace amounts of Uranium in the crystal structure of the Hyalite Opal. Spooky, yes. But also safe so don’t fret!

Not all specimens are daylight UV reactive, but some are. Purchase is one (1) crystal.
